Household pest control

How our treatment works

Initial indoor/outdoor treatment: the "Triple PC" attacks pests three ways (baits, targeted treatments using products labeled for each pest, and flushing agents). Outside, we treat a band around your foundation, usually 4 to 6 feet out, plus the lower foundation wall, and spot-treat entry points like door gaps, weep holes, window frames, pipe openings and eaves. This helps keep bugs out.

Crawl space treatment and yard treatment for fleas and ants around the home are also available.

How We Treat Your Home

After 30+ years of pest control in South Florida, we've learned that results come from putting the right product in the right place, not from covering everything in sight. Here's what that looks like on a visit.

Inside: baits and crack-and-crevice work

Roaches and ants spend their time in gaps: behind cabinets, under sinks, around plumbing and along baseboards. That's where we work. We place gel baits and bait stations along the paths pests travel, and we apply product directly into the cracks and crevices where they hide and breed. Every product goes down according to its label. Most of this work ends up in places you'll never see, and that's the idea.

Outside: the perimeter

Many pests here start outdoors and move in after a heavy rain, so the perimeter treatment above is where we stop them. We also offer yard treatment for fleas and ants around the home.

Rats and mice: traps, stations and sealing

Rodent control is its own service, separate from the $125 quarterly plan, and quoted after the inspection. We find how they're getting in, set traps, place tamper-resistant bait stations outside, and seal the entry points ourselves. Inside the home, we use traps and, only where the label allows, rodent bait placed out of reach of kids and pets. We come back for a set number of follow-up visits and tell you how many up front. More on rodent control and sealing entry points.

Mosquitoes: targeted backpack fogging

During the day, adult mosquitoes rest in shady, damp spots: under decks, along fences, on the shaded side of the house and in the shrubs and hedges around it. We use a backpack fogger to treat those resting areas directly and avoid flowering plants. This is mosquito control, not plant care: we don't treat plants for plant pests or diseases. The fogger is an outdoor mosquito tool, and we never use it indoors. Larval traps are available only on monthly mosquito plans, which use a growth regulator, like birth control for insects. See mosquito control for the full service.

Quarterly service, covered between visits

Our quarterly plan brings us out every three months. Pests don't always follow a calendar, so our Bug Free Guarantee covers the time in between: "If pests come back between visits, so do we, at no extra cost." In practice, that means free callbacks between your quarterly visits. If you see activity, call or text us and we'll come back out. No long-term contracts, no cancellation fees.

How often should you get pest control in South Florida?

For most houses, condos and townhomes, every three months is enough. That's our quarterly plan: a full inside-and-outside treatment four times a year, with free callbacks in between if something shows up.

Some properties need more. A home with heavy German roach activity, a rental that turns over often, or a house backing onto a canal or a wooded lot may do better on a monthly or custom schedule. We'll tell you after the FREE inspection, and monthly or custom plans are quoted then, once we've seen the property.

Mosquitoes are the exception to the quarterly rule. Outdoor treatments break down faster in South Florida sun and rain, so we recommend monthly mosquito control, especially through the rainy season, adjusted to your yard.

If you have bed bugs, that's a separate treatment with follow-up visits, not part of the quarterly plan. Our bed bug treatment page explains how it works.

Where we work

Our office is in Hollywood, and our technicians cover homes throughout Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. Many cities have their own page with local details, including pest control in Miami, pest control in Fort Lauderdale and pest control in Hollywood, FL. Businesses can see our commercial pest control service.

Pest Control FAQs

What does a quarterly pest plan cost?
$125 per quarter, which works out to about $42 a month. New customers also get $50 off the first service and a FREE inspection, no code needed and no expiration date.
Are there cancellation fees?
No long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. A simple signed service agreement is all it takes to start.
What are the hardest pests to get rid of in a South Florida home?
German roaches and bed bugs are among the hardest. German roaches breed fast, hide in cracks, appliances and cabinets, and some populations resist common sprays. Bed bugs hide in seams and furniture, and their eggs can hatch after the first treatment. That's why we use a bait-first, crack-and-crevice approach for roaches and plan follow-up visits for both. See bed bug treatment for how bed bug jobs work.
What are the worst months for bugs in Florida?
The rainy season, roughly mid-May to mid-October according to the National Weather Service, brings the biggest jumps in mosquitoes and ants, and heavy rain pushes palmetto bugs indoors. Roaches stay active all year here.
Can my dog go in the yard after treatment?
Yes, once your technician says the treated areas are ready, usually after they dry. We follow every product label and tell you exactly when pets can go back out.
