How does Pro-Spray treat for mosquitoes?
We treat the shady places adult mosquitoes rest around your home with a backpack fogger, including hedges, palms, dense plantings, under decks and along lanai and fence lines. We also point out standing water so you can cut off breeding between visits. See how it works.
Who applies the treatment?
A Pro-Spray technician applies every treatment by hand with a backpack fogger, so the product goes where mosquitoes actually rest.
How often should my yard be treated?
We recommend monthly service, especially during the rainy season. Schedules can be customized to your property.
Do you offer one-time sprays for parties or events?
Yes. We offer one-time special-event treatments for backyard parties, weddings and other gatherings. Call or text with your event date and we'll work out scheduling.
Is one treatment enough?
A single treatment can help for a while, but new mosquitoes keep hatching in South Florida, so regular service works best.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees.
What if mosquitoes come back between visits?
That's covered by our Bug Free Guarantee: If pests come back between visits, so do we, at no extra cost.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is quoted after your free inspection, since every yard is different. New customers get $50 off their first service, with no code and no expiration.
Do you use mosquito traps?
Yes. Along with the backpack fogger treatment, we place mosquito larval traps in shade near vegetation and resting spots, out of reach of kids and pets, never in ponds or pools and away from animal feed and drinking water. Egg-laying females pick up a growth regulator at the trap and can carry it to nearby hidden water, helping stop larvae from becoming adults. We refill and service the traps about every 4 weeks during your monthly visits, following the product label. Traps are one part of the plan. They don't eliminate mosquitoes on their own.
Are the traps safe around my kids and pets?
We place traps out of reach of kids and pets and service them according to the product label. Please don't open, empty or move them.
Safety
Is it safe for my kids and pets?
We apply products according to their labels and tell you when kids and pets can go back into treated areas. Keeping them out until treated surfaces are dry is a good rule. Read our pets and families guide.
Do you treat horse barns and livestock properties?
Yes. We avoid feed rooms and never spray animals directly.
Will treatment hurt my garden or fish pond?
Tell us where they are, and we'll plan around them.
Weather and Timing
What if it rains after my treatment?
Let us know if heavy rain hits soon after a visit. Our Bug Free Guarantee applies if mosquitoes come back between visits.
When is mosquito season in South Florida?
Mosquitoes are active year-round here, with the biggest numbers during the rainy season. Read our rainy season guide.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not, as long as we can reach the treatment areas and pets are secured. We'll confirm when we schedule.

Why do mosquitoes bite during the day?
Day biters like the Asian tiger mosquito and the yellow fever mosquito are active in shade during daylight.
Where do mosquitoes come from in my yard?
Often from small amounts of standing water nearby. Use our standing-water checklist.
What's biting me if I can't see it?
It could be no-see-ums, tiny biting midges common near the water.
