Bed bugs travel in luggage, boxes and clothing. People pick them up in movie theaters, gyms, malls, airplanes, hotels, homes and at work. They're a particular concern in multi-unit buildings and for anyone who travels a lot. They're difficult to get rid of, but not impossible with a Pro-Spray technician. Pricing is quoted after the FREE inspection.

Signs you have bed bugs
Bed bugs hide during the day and feed at night, so most people find the signs before they ever see a bug. Look for:
- Small rust-colored or dark spots on sheets, pillowcases and mattress seams.
- Shed skins, pale and empty, along seams, piping and the corners of the box spring.
- Tiny white eggs in seams, crevices of the bed frame and the back of the headboard.
- Live bugs, flat and reddish-brown, about the size of an apple seed.
- Itchy bites in a line or cluster, often on the arms, neck and legs.
Bites alone don't prove bed bugs, since people react differently and other insects bite too. Our guide to bed bug bites vs. mosquito bites explains the difference. The FREE inspection confirms what you're dealing with.
How bed bug treatment works in South Florida
- Inspection: we check mattresses, box springs, bed frames, headboards, furniture seams, baseboards and outlets to confirm bed bugs and find where they're hiding.
- Targeted treatment: we treat the infested rooms, furniture and hiding spots, focusing on where bed bugs actually live: seams, joints, cracks and the spaces behind headboards and baseboards. Every product is EPA-registered, applied by licensed technicians according to its label.
- Follow-up visits: eggs can hatch after the first treatment, so we come back to catch the next generation. How many follow-up visits you need depends on the size and severity of the infestation. We'll tell you what we find after the inspection.
How many visits bed bug treatment takes
Bed bug jobs start with a targeted treatment, then follow-up as needed, because eggs can hatch after the first treatment. How many follow-up visits you need depends on the size and severity of the infestation. We'll tell you what we find after the inspection. You'll know the plan before any work starts. Calling early keeps the job smaller: bed bugs in one bedroom are far easier to handle than bed bugs in every room.
Your bed bug prep checklist
Good prep makes treatment work better. Before your appointment:
- Wash bedding, linens and clothing from affected rooms in hot water and dry them on high heat, then seal them in clean plastic bags.
- Clear clutter from floors, under beds and around furniture so we can reach hiding spots.
- Empty nightstands and dressers in affected rooms, and bag the contents.
- Vacuum mattresses, floors and furniture, then seal the vacuum bag and throw it away outside.
- Pull beds and furniture a few inches away from the walls.
- Don't move furniture or belongings to other rooms or homes, which can spread bed bugs.
- Don't throw out mattresses or furniture until you ask us.
- Plan for people and pets to stay out of treated rooms for the time your technician recommends.

What happens on treatment day
Your technician starts with a quick walk-through of the rooms you prepped and checks the spots marked during the inspection. Then we treat the mattress seams, box spring, bed frame, headboard, nearby furniture, baseboards and the cracks around them, room by room. Before we leave, we tell you which rooms were treated, when people and pets can go back in, and when we'll be back to check. If you have questions about a specific item, like a crib, a recliner or a pile of stored boxes, ask while the technician is there.
After your treatment
Follow your technician's instructions on when people and pets can go back into treated rooms. Keep the clean, bagged bedding and clothes sealed until the rooms are ready, and don't move furniture or bags into other parts of the home. Seeing a bug or two in the days after treatment can happen as eggs hatch. Let us know and we'll check. Tell your technician what you saw and where, so the next visit targets those spots.
Used furniture, travel and cruises
Most bed bug problems start with something that came into the house: a used couch, a secondhand mattress, a suitcase after a trip. Before you bring a used piece home, learn how to check used furniture for bed bugs. If you're coming back from a trip, unpack outside the bedroom and wash your clothes first. Our guide to bed bugs after a cruise covers what to do when you get home.
Not sure about one item? We can inspect a single piece of furniture, such as a headboard, couch or dresser, before you decide what to do with it.
Apartments, condos and rentals
Bed bugs move between units through shared walls, hallways and furniture, so a single apartment rarely stays a single-apartment problem for long. We treat individual units, and we tell you up front which rooms we'll treat. If you rent, it's a good idea to let your landlord or building manager know, since nearby units may need an inspection too.
Landlords can book a treatment between tenants. Property managers and associations can set up building service through our commercial pest control team. If you're in Broward, see our page on bed bug treatment in Pembroke Pines.
Bed bug treatment in Miami and Miami-Dade
We treat bed bugs in Miami homes, condos and rentals, from Brickell and Edgewater high-rises to duplexes in Little Havana. It starts with a FREE inspection. In a building, bed bugs can travel between units through shared walls, hallways and furniture, so we check the rooms next to the problem and tell you if neighbors should be inspected too. We're glad to work with your building manager or landlord to schedule units. How many follow-up visits you need depends on the size and severity of the infestation. We'll tell you what we find after the inspection. Before we arrive, read how to prepare for bed bug treatment, or see our page on pest control in Miami.
